Why I’m Running

Georgia is a community worth fighting for. But real progress requires leadership that shows up, listens, and puts the people of this community first.

I am running for Congress because I believe our Constitution and the principle of “We the People” must be protected. During my 39 years of service in the United States Army, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution—not an administration or political party. I began my military career as an enlisted Soldier and rose to the rank of Colonel, including six years at the Pentagon analyzing and developing medical readiness policies affecting service members and their families. After retiring from the Army and surviving gallbladder cancer, I found a new way to continue serving. As a registered nurse, veteran, cancer survivor, and community leader, I believe Congress needs representatives who understand that public service is about people, not political careers. “We the People” means all of us. I am running to bring compassionate, experienced leadership to Congress and to advance policies that improve the lives of the people we are elected to serve. I’m running for Congress District 10 because I believe Georgia is ready for that kind of leadership — and I’m ready to be that voice.
